Doctoral student Hart Feuer reporting from Cambodia
Hart Feuer is a student from the US, doing his doctoral studies at ZEF. He has done a BA in Economics & Business at Lafayette College in the US, and a MPhil in Development Studies from Oxford University in the UK. His PhD research at ZEF focuses on the question how developing countries with a predominantly pre-modern agricultural sector explore divergent food economies - taking into account their domestic conditions and the increasingly divided international debates about agricultural development. The country where he does his (field) research is Cambodia. From there he writes his blog sharing with us his experiences, thoughts and insights.

Doctoral student Tyler Frazier reporting from Ghana
Tyler Frazier is a ZEF PhD student from Fort Myers, Florida, USA. He joined the ZEF Graduate Program in 2006. Before, he was working for 8 years as a professional urban planner in both the private and public sectors in Georgia and Florida. His interest for urban planning drove him back to science and to ZEF. Since a couple of months Ty is doing his field research in Ghana. You can read about his experiences in his blog.

Doctoral student Flávia Feitosa reporting from Brazil
Flávia Feitosa is a doctoral student from Brazil, participating in ZEF's Interdisciplinary Graduate School for Development Research since October 2006. Since September 2007 she is doing field research in the city of São José dos Campos, in her home country Brazil. Her research focus is on 'residential segregation'. Doctoral student Jennifer Hauck reporting from Navrongo, Upper East Region, Ghana
Jennifer Hauck is a doctoral student from Germany. She started working at ZEF in the GLOWA Volta Project in October 2003 as a student assistant and joined the ZEF Graduate Program in 2005. In 2006 she went to Ghana for two months to have a closer look at the fishing activities in the Upper East Region in the north of Ghana. In her report she told us about collecting water samples from her three reservoirs and trainings for fishermen.
