Introduction

The research group has natural resources management as its subject matter, with a strong but not exclusive focus on water resources management. The research of the NRSD group takes place in a framework of interdisciplinary endeavour, with 'development' as the central focus. The NRSD group specifically is looked upon to contribute to the integration of natural science and social science research in ongoing and new projects.

 

 

Objectives

The group seeks to expand its research activities and network through collaboration with individuals and organizations working on similar issues

I. Interdisciplinarity: boundary crossing between the natural and social sciences.

II. Institutions, organisations and policy processes in natural resources management

III. The everyday politics of resource use: resource rights, livelihood security, equity and poverty
