The Center for Development Research (ZEF) starts a lecture series titled

Silkroad Lectures "Development, Security and State Formation
at the Heart of Asia"

The aim of this lecture series is to provide insights on political, economic and social change in Central Asia, Afghanistan, Iran and the surrounding countries. This series should assist to bring academics, policy-makers and practitioners together to discuss certain topics of high interest for foreign, development and security policies in this region. The presentations will be held in English or German.
