The ZEF Doctoral Studies Program was initiated in 1999 with funds made available by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit (BMZ).

ZEF greatly appreciates the financial support for scholarships and research of the doctoral students. Today, the ZEF Doctoral Studies Program receives financial support by many donors. The main donors are the students from developing countries are the BMZ, the Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst (DAAD), , Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF), the Robert Bosch Stiftung. Foundation fiat panis, and the Consultive Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR).

 

The other current donors for scholarship and research support are:
