Prior to her work at the IASS she worked as an analyst for agricultural policy and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. Other workstations in her career were the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO, Rome), the International Fund for Rural Development (IFAD, Rome) and the International Research Institute for Food and Development Policy (IFPRI, Washington, DC., and Addis Ababa).
