Congratulations to another successful doctoral graduate: Hina Amber

Congratulations to Hina Amber who successfully defended her doctoral thesis on “Economics of female labor force participation: Overcoming barriers in Pakistan” on May 13, 2024.

She received her doctoral degree from the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Bonn.

Her first supervisor was Prof. Dr. Joachim von Braun and her second supervisor was Prof. Dr. Matin Qaim.

In 2022 Hina was selected for a grant by the IGC of the London School of Economics and Political Science for a research proposal on the topic of “Public vs Private Provision of Transportation Services and its implications for Women Employment in Lahore, Pakistan”.

Her research was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
