ZEF ECON junior researcher Hendrik Zeddies participated in the 16th International Conference on Precision Agriculture in Manhattan, Kansas, United States from July 21-24, 2024, where he presented his paper analyzing societal opinions on autonomous crop farming in Germany. The conference participation was funded by ZEF's Doctoral Program BIGS-DR.
The conference, held in the Midwestern City Manhattan, Kansas, was organized by the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA) and the Kansas State University. It provided insights into upscaling promising precision agriculture technologies. The post-conference tour offered the chance to visit the Midwestern countryside and experience on-farm US agriculture firsthand.

Hendrik is conducting his PhD research at ZEF in the PhenoRob project Public Perceptions of Digital Farming Technologies and Digital Futures.
