Call for Scholarships: RLC Bonn at ZEF offers scholarships for international workshop

The RLC Campus at ZEF offers scholarships for PhD students from developing and transition countries to participate in the international workshop on “Food security and sustainable agriculture: The future of smallholder farmers?”, May 30 – June 4, 2015, in Bonn at the Center for Development Research.
Distinguished scientists, practitioners and PhD students from all over the world will be participating together with Laureates of the “Alternative Nobel Prize” to elaborate methods of participatory agricultural research and strengthen knowledge and understanding of concepts of food security and sustainable agriculture and related methodological approaches, to critically assess smallholder farmers’ current and future role in and contribution to food security and sustainable agriculture in rural developing contexts and to showcase projects considered successful and to discuss empirical research findings concerned. Workshop language is English.
Your application should consist of:
- the filled-out application form. Download the form below.
- a 300 word abstract (in English) of your PhD project
- Email both to stellmacher(at)rlc-bonn.de, indicating “Application Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture 2015_First name(s)_last name(s)” in the subject line of your email.
The deadline is April 1, 2015. You will be informed about the decision of the selection committee until April 6.
