WASTE would like to draw your attention to a vacancy for Sanitation Adviser at its office in the Netherlands.
Applicants must have EU-citizenship or a work / residents permit for the Netherlands.

In short:
Tasks include:
To provide advice to and coaching local partner organisations
To prepare project support materials, training materials and the like
To develop accessible and up-to-date information on aspects of sanitation
To monitor and manage projects, to report and to do budget control
To give training and facilitate workshops occasionally
To do acquisition and write project proposals on exploration of the options for up scaling WASTE’s work in selected countries
To write articles for conferences and journals
Requirements:
Higher educational background or academic background in sanitary or environmental science
Relevant hands-on experience in developing countries is an advantage
Knowledgeable about the current debates and trends in international development with respect to sanitation
Both fluency in oral and written French and English are absolutely required
Willingness to travel regularly, on short missions only, for a maximum of two to three months per year
Being able to work on several projects at the same time
Ability to give training and facilitate workshops
Flexible team worker, willing to work in a highly participatory, ‘horizontal’ organisation, capable of handling work pressure with a sense of humour and reflection.
