ZEF alumni wins prestigious Josef. G. Knoll Prize

Dr. Lulseged Tamene Desta from Ethiopia and previous PhD student at ZEF wins the prestigious Josef. G. Knoll Prize.

He will receive the prize of 5000 Euro for his PhD thesis "Reservoir siltation in the drylands of northern Ethiopia: causes, source arera and management options" at a ceremony held on October 11th at the German Tropical Days 2006 in Bonn.

His study was financially supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ).
