ZEF-director speaks at Germany's parliamentary committee for Economic Cooperation

ZEF-director Joachim von Braun was invited as an expert to a hearing of the German federal parliamentary committee for Economic Cooperation on June 27. The hearing's topic was "The impact of speculations on the finance and capital markets on food prices, suggestions for containment in consideration of current EU proposals".
Von Braun illustrated the latest research results of the ZEF-project on food-price volatility dealing with the impact of speculations on food prices and assessed the EU proposals for the finance and commodity markets reform.
