Second PAUWES school at ZEF

For the second time, ZEF co-organized a one-week course program for students from the Pan African University Institute of Water and Energy Sciences (<link http: pauwes.univ-tlemcen.dz external-link-new-window external link in new>PAUWES) based in Tlemcen, Algeria.
Twenty-two students from eight African countries participated in the Spring School held at ZEF from March 27-April 1, 2016.
The students attended classes in climate and hydrological modeling, remote sensing and GIS, concepts of vulnerability and resilience, conceiving water management interventions, impact assessment and Integrated Water Resources Management.
On April 1, the students paid a visit to PAUWES' main donor, the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
