10 Years of the Peace Agreement in Colombia
The expert panel discussion on “10 Years of the Peace Agreement Between the FARC-EP Guerrilla Group and the Colombian Government” will look into the peace process in Colombia, which started in 2016 and sparked great hope for an end to the decades-long armed conflict. This panel discussion aims to take a critical look at the successes, setbacks, and future prospects in light of the change in government, as well as to discuss potential lessons for other peace processes. In addition, connections to Germany will be explored, both in terms of support for the peace process and with regard to the financing of violence through transnational organized crime and extractivist development models.
