Cooperation Water-Energy with PAUWES–ZEF–UNU–ITT / Phase 2
A consortium consisting of ZEF, UNU-EHS and ITT/TH Köln is cooperating with the Pan African University – Institute of Water and Energy Sciences (PAUWES) in terms of:
- providing targeted support to the PAUWES MSc Programs on Water and Energy
- facilitating further developing of institutional capacities of PAUWES
- strengthening the integration of PAUWES into the African / International research/capacity building landscape
- utilizing synergisms with further projects of the ZEF-ITT-UNU-Consortium related to PAUWES

Methodology
The major activities in the cooperation comprise conceiving and performing:
- Summer Schools on Water and Energy in Cologne/Bonn and at PAUWES
- linking PAUWES to the networks of the partners, sharing experiences as well as concepts in academic management procedures and facilitating steps towards joint research initiatives and proposals
- Exchange of students
- Conference at PAUWES for networking between science, practice and society (enhancing outreach)
