Christopher Tobe Okolo studied agriculture at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Nigeria, and obtained his MSc in Crop Protection (Nematology) through a VLIR-UOS scholarship at Ghent University, Belgium. Since 2017, he has held a lectureship in the Department of Crop Protection at ABU. He completed his PhD at ZEF, University of Bonn, where he investigated the identification, distribution, and biocontrol potential of entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs) against fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) in Nigeria. He is currently an Associate Researcher at ZEF. His work integrates farmer adoption surveys, virulence bioassays, molecular and morphological taxonomy, and ecological characterization of indigenous EPN isolates. His broader interests include the development of scalable, nematode-based biocontrol strategies for smallholder farming systems in sub-Saharan Africa.
