Cécile specializes in gender and sustainable agriculture in West Africa. Using qualitative and participatory methods, she conducted fieldwork in northern Ghana and presented findings at international conferences. Her research builds on over 10 years’ experience in social inclusion, local development, and sustainability. Trained in social and environmental sciences (Università Cattolica, Central European University), she started as a social worker in France, supporting women survivors of violence and migrants. She then worked as a gender expert for UNHCR, GCF, AFD, and GOPA, integrating gender mainstreaming and social risk management in development projects across Ghana, Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Colombia, South Korea, and Hungary. Cécile also won a photography competition (Let’s Plants), funding a beekeeping project in her research communities, reflecting her commitment to giving back.
