Elisa Langella holds a BSc in Economics, Markets, and Institutions from the University of Bologna, Italy, and a MSc in Development Economics from Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany. During her studies, she gained research experience as a Research Assistant - at the RTG 2654 Sustainable Food Systems at the University of Göttingen as well as in Malawi. Here, she contributed to a subproject on food environments and the triple burden of malnutrition.
She is currently a Doctoral Researcher at ZEF ECON, University of Bonn, Germany, where she works on the project “Sustainable greenhouse production types and resource-efficient technologies for future cultivation (START).” For her current doctoral research, she was involved in household survey data collection in Ghana. Her work centers on food consumption and preferences, micronutrient adequacy, and vegetable production.
