Joannishka Dsani is a veterinarian and public health researcher specializing in One Health. Her current PhD research at the University of Bonn focuses on the surveillance of zoonotic diseases in Ghana, aiming to develop integrated strategies for infectious disease prevention. She holds a Dr. vet. med from the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology and is further recognized through several prestigious honors. Joannishka is a Soulsby One Health Fellow, a grant awarded to support her work in intersectoral disease surveillance, and a Mandela Washington Fellow, a fellowship awarded by the U.S. Department of State for her leadership in animal welfare innovation. Beyond her research, she serves on the advisory board of the Animal Welfare League, where she contributes expert guidance on the ethical treatment of animals as a cornerstone of global health security.
