Marian Abrafi Osei is a nutrition scientist by training. She is part of the multi-center, prospective cohort study in Ghana on early-life exposure to malaria and nutrition-related non-communicable diseases in adult life (IPTi-follow up study). Her current doctoral research focuses on the complex relationships between early-life exposures, dietary patterns, and cardiometabolic conditions. She holds a BSc in Community Nutrition and a MPhil in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. For her Master's studies, she researched the efficacy of acute malnutrition management among selected nutrition rehabilitation sites in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked as the lead dietitian at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana. She served as a clinical preceptor, training and mentoring many nutrition and dietetics students.
