Marian Adan is a Geospatial Analyst and Doctoral Researcher at the University of Bonn, specializing in ecological modelling, remote sensing, and sustainable pest management. Her research focuses on the phenology, spread, and biological control of fall armyworm (FAW) across African maize systems, integrating satellite data, life table experiments, and advanced mathematical models. She has worked with icipe, IITA, RCMRD, and Eagle Ranges Services on climate monitoring, invasive species management, and spatial decision support tools. Marian holds an M.Sc. in Geo Information Science and Earth Observation from the University of Twente and a B.Sc. in Environmental Planning and Management from Kenyatta University.
