I am a Colombian researcher and, since 2023, a PhD Candidate in Development Studies at the Center for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn. My research examines how international biodiversity commitments, particularly those from the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, are implemented in rural, non-protected landscapes. I focus on sustainable agriculture and community-based conservation in Colombia, Brazil, Peru and Bolivia. I am currently receiving a DAAD EPOS scholarship as well as the Hermann Eiselen Doctoral Fellowship from the Fiat Panis Foundation. I have an Erasmus Mundus MSc in Sustainable Territorial Development and a BSc in Economics. In Colombia, I have worked with various national and international institutions to translate science into clear, actionable insights that inform policy and support sustainable governance.
