Catharina Latka is a senior researcher at ZEF in the division Economic and Technological Change (ZEF ECON). Until September 2024, she has been a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton University's High Meadows Environmental Institute and affiliated with the Environmental Markets Lab (emLab) at University of California, Santa Barbara. In 2022, she completed her doctoral studies in Agricultural Economics at the University of Bonn. Her research interest lies at the intersection of food systems and the environment. She studies how policies and price shocks affect food security and environmental outcomes, identifying synergies and tradeoffs. In her research she applies econometric and simulation modelling techniques primarily using R.
