Clément Roux is a senior researcher in the Cultural and Political Change Department at ZEF, where he works on the concept of ‘environmental peace’ in contexts marked by armed conflict and ecological transformation. His research combines cultural studies, communication analysis and participatory fieldwork in Colombia to explore how imaginaries, knowledge practices and media shape pathways towards peaceful coexistence between humans and nature. He is co-principal investigator of the Volkswagen Foundation-funded Iakumama 2050 project, which develops transdisciplinary and collaborative methods with indigenous partners in the Colombian Amazon to imagine a long-term future for environmental peace. His work bridges academic research, digital experimentation and public communication to connect science, society and local knowledge systems.
