Dr. Jochen Dürr studied Agricultural Economics at the University of Hohenheim. He obtained his PhD in Economics in 2015 from the Faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences of the University of Kassel-Witzenhausen. He started his career working for the German Development Service in Latin America, mainly on value chains of smallholder products. He has been a Senior Researcher at the Center for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn since 2016, where he coordinates food security research and capacity development projects in Ethiopia, Madagascar, and Myanmar.
