Nicolas is an environmental and resource economist, who shifted his focus on agriculture and food in the Global South over the past 20 years. He has developed, coordinated and contributed to several international research projects, including: NOURICITY - “Partnerships for healthy diets and nutrition in urban African food systems – evidence and strategies”; FOODSECURE - “Exploring the future of global food and nutrition security”; WATSAN-AGRICULTURE - “Guiding pro-poor investments in the nexus among domestic water quality and quantity, sanitation and hygiene, and agriculture from the bottom-up”; ELD - “The economics of desertification, land degradation and drought: Towards an integrated global assessment”.
