2011: First Prize Award: Global Development Network Medals for Research in Development 2010 2009: Finalist: Africa wide Women in Science Competition 2007:Nominated for the Robin Cosgrove prize for ethics in finance. This is a prize for young people aged below 35 years with innovative ideas to promote ethics in finance. 2007: Award for Outstanding Contribution in the World Bank Committee at the Munster University International Model United Nations (MUIMUN) 2007:Awarded a Carol Schmidt Fellowship to undertake up to a 6 months internship with the International Labour Office (ILO) in Geneva (declined) 2004: German Academic Exchange (DAAD) Scholarship for PhD at the Center for Development Research, Bonn University. 2002: Research Grant under the 14th Junior Researchers Competition for Gender Issues in Development Research by the Organization for Social Research in Eastern and Southern African (OSSREA).
