Received his M.Sc and B.Sc. degrees from the Biology Department of the Central China Normal University (CCNU).

Professional experience

After his graduation in 1990, Mr. Li worked at the Hubei University as an ecologist, and as an Associate Professor since 1994. From 1996 to 1997, he worked at the University of Edinburgh on the topic of vegetation management as a SBFSS scholarship holder. From 1999 to 2003, he participated in the International Doctoral Program at ZEF, University of Bonn. After his PHd graduation he became a Professor in Ecological Economics at the Hubei University, and is now a founder of the "School of Resource Management and Environmental Science" at the Hubei University in China
