The Eighth Annual Global Development Conference

GDN’s Eighth Annual Global Development Conference will be held in Beijing, China from January 14 – 16, 2007. "Shaping a New Global Reality: The Rise of Asia and its Implications" will bring together nearly 600 invited participants to discuss the implications of Asia’s emergence for the rest of the world. The conference will also play host to sessions on diverse aspects of development including demographic trends and social security systems, labor market developments and new strategies for achieving the poverty and hunger-related Millennium Development Goals.
