WASCAL/ ZEF at Africa Days of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Berlin

Under the motto "Germany and Africa working together for the future" the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) invited about 700 experts from Africa and Germany to participate in the Africa Days in Berlin, taking place from February 16-18, 2014. Members from <link http: www.wascal.org external-link-new-window external link in new>WASCAL, in which ZEF is a key actor, participated in the conference. ZEF-director Joachim von Braun gave a key note.
Main topic of discussion was the future of African-German cooperation in the realms of education and research. In four workshop panels topics such as climate, bio-economy, health and transformation were covered. Representatives from the ten WASCAL countries participated in the workshop panel on climate.
