Water policies in South Africa. Effects, impact and transaction costs in the Olifants Basin

South Africa is among the 30 most water-stressed countries in the world. Many of its regions continue to face persistent water shortages as well as increasing competition between water users, a growing population and varying climatic changes. We looked at how these challenges can be best handled in the Olifants catchment by policy makers.
