Paper: An Intersectional Analysis of Syrian Women’s Participation in Civil Society in the Post-2011 Context
Based on qualitative research conducted in Lebanon and Turkey in 2018, this paper by ZEF junior researcher Dima Al Munajed centers on changing gender roles of Syrian women, triggered by the conflict and resulting displacement in Lebanon in Turkey.

Blog: Sustainable nutrition during the COVID-19 pandemic: a digital survey in the Metropole Ruhr, Germany
Diet behaviors have changed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. ZEF Junior researcher Juliana Minetto Gellert Paris sees the given situation as a chance to explore how dietary patterns evolved during the lockdown experience and further, to use this situation as an opportunity to improve diets towards more sustainable and healthier in the post-COVID-19 era.

ZEF junior researcher Nawaphan Metchanun receives grant from Bonn University's TRA6
Her research proposal on "Covid-19 epidemic trends and health system needs projections for developing countries" received a grant in a competitive process initiated by the Transdisciplinary Research Area Innovation and Technology for Sustainable Futures (TRA 6) of Bonn University.

University of Bonn's TRA6 funding another ZEF project on how Covid-19 affects Ethiopia
The research on "COVID-19 Risks and Innovations for Sustainable Livelihoods in Ethiopia" is another project that will receive a grant by the TRA 6 of the University of Bonn. The proposal was drafted by ZEF Senior Researcher Dr. Girma Kelboro Mensuro in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Detlef Müller-Mahn and his colleagues of the Geography Department/Institute of the University of Bonn.
