Jumanta Gakelebone represents the Bushmen’s organization First People of the Kalahari (’Alternative Nobel Prize’ 2005) in Botswana.
Recognized as a spokesperson, Jumanta has defended his people’s rights against government persecution, helping to map their traditional territories to show their detailed knowledge and conservation of the land and its natural resources.
