The European Land-use Institute is a cooperation agreement based network on integrated land use and land system sciences that supports a highly inter- and disciplinary research approach and developed an independent governance model for research cooperation beyond projects. ELI acts also as European Nodal Office of the Global Land Project.

The research cooperation in ELI is organized in a matrix that comprises the major land sectors and identifies cross-cutting topics for research. The research agenda can be downloaded under:
