Coordination team
Ana Maria Perez Arredondo joined the coordination team of the NRW Forschungskolleg One Health and Urban Transformation at ZEF in 2021. She is part of the first batch of doctoral students of the Graduate School. Her doctoral thesis covers topics related to One Health governance and social-environmental determinants of health in Accra. She is further associated with the International Centre for Sustainable Development (IZNE) within the framework of the project Energy Self-sufficiency for Healthcare Facilities in Ghana (EnerShelF). Before starting her doctoral studies, she worked for the public-private-partnership on Climate Risk Transfer and Agricultural Insurance between the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Swiss-Re, and for the Agricultural Unit of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). She holds a M.Sc. of International Agribusiness and Rural Development Economics from the Universities of Göttingen in Germany and Talca in Chile (2016), and a Bachelor of International Business from the University of Guadalajara in Mexico (2013).
Max Voit also joined the coordination team of the NRW Forschungskolleg One Health and Urban Transformation at ZEF in 2021. He is working as the assistant to the Academic Coordinator of ZEF’s doctoral program BIGS-DR. Mr. Voit’s responsibilities at BIGS-DR include project management (e.g. the DAAD IVAC financed Online Development and Research Community (ODSRC) with the University of Tokyo), course planning, online learning didactics, application management, as well as the support of international doctoral students in administrative matters and as a person of trust. Mr. Voit completed his Master in North American Studies at the University of Bonn and peruses a doctorate at the intersection of development-, North American-, and fashion studies.
