On December 13, 2022, Dr. Renata Reynaldo and Dr. Michelle Bonatti from the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) closed the IRASAG-Amazon Colloquium Series 2022. ZALF is one of the eight partners within the IRASAG-Amazon initiative. The presentation "Gender and Intersections in Latin America: Postcolonial and Decolonial Approaches" combined theoretical contributions and examples of decolonial practices in Brazil and Colombia.

Isimemen Osemwegie (ZEFc senior researcher) attended the UNCBD COP15 in Montreal, Canada. She presented at two side events. The first of which was on ‘’Capacity Development as an ingredient for operationalizing the Gender Action Plans (GAPs): the case of the CABES* initiative’ (CABES is Capacity Development for Biodiversity & Ecosystem Services Experts in West, Central & East Africa (www.cabes.online ))at the UNCBD Women’s HUB and, "Capacity Development as an instrument to accelerate the uptake of scientific-evidences (IPBES products) into domestic policies: the case of WABES/CABES" at the Fifth Science-Policy Forum for Biodiversity & the Eighth International Conference on Sustainability Science. The CoP15 event provided an opportunity to connect with stakeholders, exchange on the Rio conventions and introduce the capacity building initiatives. The event took place December 4-15, 2022.
