Women Household Heads in Iran: A Discourse Analysis
This PhD-project aims to study the development assistance discourse on empowerment of women household heads (WHHs) and its multilateral stream through national level and policy making, community and program level and finally among individuals, in Iran. It will examine the current policies and practices among the main actors and also the history of emergence and development of the discourse in the past two decades. This project seeks to link the process of production of a discourse and its relevant knowledge to the broader context of the relationship between aid, assistance and gender politics in Iran.
