Film Screening: Sustainable Development (2013)
November 5, 2013 | 17:30 h - 19:00 h
Over the years, there have been concerns about the sustainable use of natural resource and the rate of depletion across the globe. In view of this, it is envisaged that natural resource based industries and activities can be transformed into sustainable directions that can adequately address economic, social and environmental challenges.
The documentary: “Sustainable Development (2013)” is a 43 minute film including interviews with various stakeholders as part of the “Sustainable Pathways for Natural Resource Industries” project in the Province of Santiago del Estero, Argentina. The film suggests that through the various decisions that we take as individual citizens and consumers, we also have an impact an impact on how natural resource industries are shaped and their contribution to development and society as a whole. It is shown in the film that as individuals, we can also play a role in transforming these industries towards more sustainable pathways. For more information, please visit nrpathways.wix.com/home .
