Since 2017, the Malabo Montpellier Panel has analyzed policy and institutional innovations across seven thematic areas, spanning nutrition, mechanization, irrigation, digital agriculture, the energy-agriculture nexus, livestock, and trade. Our analyses have shown what some countries have done to achieve sustained progress, and based on those findings, our recommendations show how this success can be replicated and scaled up across the continent.
The 9th edition of the Malabo Montpellier Forum will see the launch of a report bringing together the findings from the seven reports the Panel has published between 2017-2020, covering topics including nutrition, irrigation, mechanization, digital agriculture, regional trade, livestock and the energy-agriculture nexus. The report highlights the findings of over 50 country analyses and showcases what several African countries have done in terms of their policy and institutional innovations to make progress towards meeting the targets under the Malabo Declaration, AU Agenda 2063 and the SDGs. This combined piece will provide a practical guide to African governments seeking to accelerate progress towards ending hunger and transforming their food systems within the context of a changing climate.

We look forward to welcoming you on November 23!
