Abstract

The lecture will address the intricate process of developing socio-environmental indices that align with the Sociocultural Ecological Landscape Model, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of social and ecological systems within their cultural contexts. The session will explore the critical role of these indices in recognizing and preserving biodiversity as natural heritage, discussing practical examples, methodological approaches, and potential impacts on national and international environmental policies. This conference aims to foster a deeper understanding of socio-ecological dynamics and their implications for conservation efforts and sustainable policy frameworks. We look forward to your participation and the subsequent dialogue on advancing collaborative research initiatives.
