In Humboldt's footsteps - DAAD alumni meeting in Colombia

Bogotá/Colombia, May 10-12, 2019. In honor of his 250th birthday, Alexander von Humboldt, the great natural scientist, globetrotter and humanist, will be at the center of the 'Humboldt y las Américas' (Humboldt and the Americas), a event series by the Federal Foreign Office.

The DSSP Project, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is also contributing to occasion.

The Global Biodiversity Summit: An urgent call to action

Paris - Scientists and policy makers from all across the globe met at the 7th plenary of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) from April 28th to May 4th, 2019. More than 800 people participated at this summit which was hosted by the UNESCO in Paris.
