Uzbekistan Embassy-delegation visits ZEF
A delegation from Uzbekistan's Embassy in Germany (based in Berlin) paid a visit to ZEF on March 26, 2024. They met and discussed with ZEF directors and seniors to discuss possible future science-based cooperation.
The Embassy delegation consisted of Dishod Akhatov (Ambassador), Erwin Turgunov (Counselor) and Hasanov Sherzod (Second Secretary).
Participants from ZEF were ZEF-directors and professors Christian Borgemeister and Ina Danquah, ZEF- senior researchers Bernhard Tischbein and Navneet Kumar and former ZEF senior researcher and project coordinator in Uzbekistan John Lamers.
Background
- ZEF has run a decade-long project called “Economic and Ecological Restructuring of Land- and Water Use in the Region Khorezm (Uzbekistan)” in cooperation with UNESCO in Uzbekistan from 2003 till 2013.
