ZEF-director Joachim von Braun on EXPO 2015 in Milan

The world fair<link http: www.expo2015.org en external-link-new-window external link in new> EXPO 2015 in Milan has the theme: “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”. About 150 countries have their pavilions at the fair, including many emerging economy countries. The EXPO runs from May 1 until October 31, 2015.
On Friday, May 8, 2015, the international dialogue sessions at EXPO started with an interesting conference on “Towards a Research Agenda for Global Food and Nutrition Security” (see <link fileadmin downloads foodsecure agenda_8_may.pdf download file>program). This conference was based on a <link http: europa.eu expo2015 sites default files http external-link-new-window>paper co-drafted by Professor von Braun, who is a member of the EXPO's scientific steering committee.
