Travel grant for ZEF junior researcher Justice Inkoom

September 30, 2014.

Justice Nana Inkoom, a ZEF doctoral student from Ghana working with the WASCAL program, was awarded a prize for his abstract submitted to this year’s American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting, to be held in San Francisco from December 15-19.

The prize consists of a travel grant of 1,000 USD which enables him to attend the  Meeting (see:

).

Mr. Inkoom’s prize-winning abstract was on “Impact of the spatial arrangement of agricultural land use on ecosystems services and peri-urban livelihoods at the landscape scale”.

In my view, this award is simply an honor”, says Mr. Inkoom. “I believe it puts less strain on my scholarship with regard to funding this trip. In addition, it is a recognition of the contribution our research delivers to knowledge and an acknowledgement of interest in my PhD topic and ideas”.
