Afghanistan conference in Bonn under pressure

ZEF Afghanistan expert Conrad Schetter is sceptical about the outcome of the Afghanistan conference due to take place in Bonn on December 5 without participation of the main regional player Pakistan and the Taliban. "Afghanistan faces many challenges, especially after envisaged withdrawal of international troops in 2014", says Schetter. His book about the Taliban sheds light on the nature and diversity of movement.
