Mohamed H.A. Hassan on the essential role of science academies in Africa

Prof. Dr. Mohamed H.A. Hassan, former President of the African Academy of Sciences, Kenya,
on „The Essential Role of Science Academies in Society“.

Prof. Hassan is former President of the <link http:>African Academy of Sciences, Chair of UNU Council, Co-Chair of Interacademy Partnership (IAP), the global network of science academies, Italy; former Executive Director of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS), Sudan; and a member of the ZEF International Advisory Board. In this lecture, Professor Hassan will focus on new initiatives designed to strengthen the role of African Academies in science policy and science advice.
