ICCWaDS - International Center for Comparative Water and Development Studies

Summary

The International Centre for Comparative Water and Development Studies (ICCWaDS) involves scientific cooperation projects and the exchange of graduate and PhD students as well as researchers at the Center for Development Research of the University of Bonn (ZEF), the Department of Development Studies, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and the Irrigation and Water Engineering Group of Wageningen University.

Areas of Cooperation:

1. Establish, support and conduct comparative research on the politics and governance of water resources,
2. Organize joint meetings of researchers, graduate and PhD students from the three universities in the framework of ongoing research and newly to be identified joint research projects,
3. Provide a platform for constructive debate on the findings, theories and methodology of (comparative) research on the politics and governance of water,
4. Provide joint teaching and training on comparative water politics, subject to availability of funding,
5. Enhance scientific publication on comparative water politics and exchange publications for scientific, scholarly, teaching and information purposes.
