Environmental Planning at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia
Since 2010, ZEF has been cooperating with the University of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to jointly develop and implement interdisciplinary and applied research and teaching on environmental planning and biodiversity conservation.
In 2010 a new Doctoral Program on Environmental Planning was inaugurated at the Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction and City Development (EiABC), University of Addis Ababa. The program was the first PhD program on environmental planning in Ethiopia. It was co-funded by the DAAD between 2010-13.
Ever since the cooperation between ZEF and EiABC continues with a number of joint research projects in Ethiopia, as well as joint publications, academic exchange, teaching and learning, both at EiABC and ZEF in Bonn.
