Hannah works in the coordination of the INTERFACES project.
Teaching the courses International Development Policy and Development Projects at Geisenheim University
Hannah was the Coordinator of GlobalHort, a global network for researchers, extensionists, members of policy and private sectors and the Coordinator of the Horticulture Competence Centre, a cooperation between University of Bonn, Juelich Research Centre, the Chamber of Agriculture of North Rhine Westfalia and the Service Centre for Rural Areas in Rhineland Palatinate in Germany.
Hannah has over 30 years of experience in team leadership, project and financial management and the coordination of multidisciplinary collaborative projects and teams, primarily in Africa and Asia. She has many years of experience in research funding and the development of tenders in competitive financing mechanisms, evaluation of concept papers, preparation of project documents and monitoring of project results. She studied agricultural sciences at the University of Bonn and received her doctorate in plant physiology from the TU Darmstadt, after which she lived and worked in Kenya, England and Sri Lanka on development-related topics, focussing on underutilized crops and genetic resources.
