Prominent examples are the rapid global spread of ‘new’ viral diseases like West Nile, Dengue, Zika or Chikungunya. However, in some regions of the world also other important infectious diseases like Malaria and Ebola are on the rise. What is behind the resurgence of these diseases and who are the most vulnerable and affected communities?
