Summary: Entrepreneurs in Africa, operating across the different value chains and ecosystems are the lifeblood of the agriculture and food sector, which is projected to exceed a Trillion dollars by 2030. They operate as input providers, primary producers, aggregators, processors, distributors, finance and technology providers, chefs and cooks, consultants and innovators. However, these entrepreneurs struggle to scale their businesses and leverage the available technology and innovation to leapfrog and adapt to climate change. This presentation will share key insights from Ndidi Nwuneli's upcoming book: - "Food Entrepreneurs in Africa: Scaling Resilient Agriculture Businesses." Based on a review of case studies, it will identify practical steps for starting and growing successful and resilient agriculture and food businesses in Africa.    

Bio: Mrs. Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli is the Managing Partner of Sahel Consulting Agriculture & Nutrition Ltd., which works across West Africa shaping agricultural policy, creating catalytic ventures, and implementing ecosystem solutions. She is the co-founder of AACE Foods, which sources from over 10,000 farmers and produces a range of packaged spices, seasonings, and cereals for local and international markets. Ndidi is also the founder of LEAP Africa which inspires, empowers, and equips a new cadre of principled, disciplined and dynamic young leaders in Africa. In addition, she is the founder and chair of Nourishingafrica.com, envisioned as a home for a million entrepreneurs transforming the African food and agriculture landscape.
